Delegation to the 19th Exhibition and Conference of Pollutec 2003 in Paris

The European Organisation for Strategic Planning in collaboration with Enviro '04, organised a delegation of Local Self-government actors with the aim to visit and participate to the Exhibition - Conference Enviro '04 with subjects:

- Financial mechanisms and environment

- Solid and Liquid Waste Management

- Collection, separation, recycling and management of solid waste.

- Water resources

- Biological cleaning

- Energy

- Atmospheric pollution

- Noise pollution, analysis and measurement

Representatives of Self-government bodies, enterprises and organisations from Europe, North and South America, Asia and Australia participated to the exhibition.

During their sojourn in Australia, visits were made to factories of garbage processing, recycling, biological cleaning and energy. Additionally, meetings were held and opinions exchanged with Local Actors in Sidney. The immediate response and hospitality of the Greek Community of Melbourne towards the Greek representation must be mentioned and also the meetings of the Mayors with members of the Greek Associations and representatives of the Greek Community there.
