Regional Conference of Thessaly From the 3rd to the 4th Programming Period

The European Organisation for Strategic Planning in collaboration with the Municipality of Volos organised on 9th and 10th March 2007 in Volos, the Regional Conference of Thessaly with subject: "From the 3rd to the 4th Programming Period"

Our country, in agreement with its community partners, materialises the 3rd community support framework for the period 2000 - 2006, whereas it is called to plan and materialise the National Strategic Reference Framework (NSRF) (or otherwise 4th Programming Period or 4th CSF) for the period 2007-2013.
The planning of both those periods was made based on common decisions of the European Union and of our Country, as a Member-Country, in the framework of a unified common strategy whose aim was and is the political, economical and social cohesion of the countries members of EU.

The assessment of the materialisation or not of the targets set in whole or by sectors (development, farming, technology, innovation, employment etc.) and the analysis of the procedures that were followed, as much on European as on National level during the 3rd CSF, will lead to the diagnostics of good practices or weaknesses and will facilitate our country in the best possible application of the NSRF, while in the meantime the planned policies will be prominent (European and National).

The creative examination and collaboration of public and private entities, can give a new perspective to the Thessaly Region, in sight of the planning and proposals of the 4th Programming Period.
