The European Organisation for Strategic Planning, in collaboration with the Agricultural University of Athens - Food Science and Technology Department - Laboratory of Dairy Research and the Hellenic Milk Organ, in the frames of the Festival of the Greek Milk and Cheese, organised a conference on 5th October 2007 at the Peace and Friendship Stadium with subject: "The protection of the Greek production of milk and cheese products and the enhancement of their competitiveness on the Greek and the International market". The conference was staffed by scientific and productive bodies that are related with the dairy production of the Greek region and the following issues were mainly discussed:
- The contribution of the stock-breeding industry to the development and reconstruction of the country-side
