The European Organisation for Strategic Planning, in collaboration with the Local Union of Municipalities and Communities (TEDK) of the Trikala Region, organised a delegation of representatives and actors of the Local Self-government of the Trikala Region, to Brussels from 16th to 19th December, with the aim to participate to the meeting held on 17/12/2004 at Bedford Hotel in the city of Brussels with subject:
"The new policies of the European Union for the environment and the role of the Local Self-government"
In the framework of this visit to the capital of the EU, a ceremonial visit was made to the European Parliament where meetings were held with Greek Members of the European Parliament.
Additionally, meetings were held with representatives of the Office of the Greek Commissioner for the Environment Mr. Stavros Dimas, where issues concerning problems of the wider area of the Trikala Region were discussed, as well as of all Greece.
